About Missio
Ben has been in love and has had a passion for coffee ever since his friends introduced him to the World of Coffee as a young man. Three years ago Ben accepted the call to become a missionary and is based in Ensenada, Mexico. His goal is to connect every individual with a cup of coffee they enjoy regardless of their level of knowledge of coffee. Ben had the dream to start Missio Coffee three years ago and has constantly been on the search for the best way to offer award-winning coffees to the public and fun the mission he serves. Through a long road of research and investment, the Missio team is proud to present to you Missio.
The Mission
When you purchase beans from Missio Coffee Roasters, you're not just enjoying a cup of expertly roasted coffee—you're supporting a mission. Every bag you buy directly helps fund Casa Agape, an orphanage in Ensenada, Mexico, providing love, care, and a brighter future for children in need. Missio means mission, and with each sip, you're making a meaningful impact on these young lives. Join us in this mission of hope and change.
Sourcing
We often overlook the origins of what we consume, but let us assure you that great coffee tastes even better when sourced ethically! At Missio Coffee Roasters, we only partner with importers who share our values. We work with exclusive lots and conduct thorough background research on the farms. We are willing to pay a premium price for our green coffee beans to ensure fair compensation for everyone in the supply chain and deliver the highest quality to our customers.
To cater to various preferences and encourage trying something new, we always offer a selection that includes both funky, experimental coffees and classic origins. For more information, visit our sustainability page.
Roasting
At Missio Coffee Roasters, we believe that discovering unique flavors requires constantly experimenting with new and innovative roasting profiles. We stay open-minded about new processing methods, emerging coffee origins, and discoveries in coffee varietal genetics.
Our roasting is done on an IMF machine, which offers exceptional control and consistency. Using a convection system, this machine enables us to develop coffees properly in a shorter time. The result is clean, bright, and sweet coffees.
